Hypography reaches 200,000 posts

Although Hypography has been online since May 17, 2000, our forums were not launched until February 2002. During that time we have gone from being a small group of enthusiasts to become the large community that we are now.

Although our slogan is "Science for everyone", science is definitely a niche interest. One of the challenges of Hypography is to try to keep people informed about science news in the world, and to act as a guide to science and technology content on the web.

When we launched, Hypography was one of very few popular science sites around. Now we meet competition in all areas: search engines, link portals, newsfeed aggregators, mashup sites and basically any kind of website you can think of.

Therefore we will try to keep our focus on being a place where science is supposed to be interesting and fun, and to be a natural place to visit for people who are interested in science but who are not necessarily scientists.
