Your only recourse is to never use the internet. ALL systems have vulnerabilities in regard to skilled people with malicious intent. Microsoft just gets the worst press. This bug has existed as long as IE, yet there is not a single reported incident. Your chances of getting struck by lightening on a sunny day are hundreds of times greater than falling victim to this perceived bug. Relax.
