I for one don't want a faster internet.
At the moment, for me, with a 44kbps connection the internet is about words.
When it is super-fast I fear it will all become visual - "Utube++++" video on demand.
The above discovery still means laying of new cables.
I heard of some research the other day where power-lines were being tested to send broadband signals. If that works it would open the internet to many more and send many telecommications companies broke.
