Re: Huygens lands on Titan
I had to visit some anti-progressive relatives in Oklahoma this weekend so couldn't find out until just now how things went. They watch FOX news network and when one of the commentators mentioned the story about Huygens, he was scoffed at and told that no one was interested, that some recent murder conviction was much more important. My relatives had never even heard of the space mission. The story was buried on the back page of the classified section of the Tulsa Tribune. Most of my friends are awed and excited by scientific events. Times like this it is stunning to realize we may be among the few.
