Without this information one may get the impression the 'mandela' is new and a result of this enormous calculation. The calculations not only map E8 completely, they confirm McMullen's hand drawn 2-D representation. I can't seem to find McMullen's original drawing, but here's a link that further describes Gosset polytype 421. >
