This is brilliant, but scary.
Ever heard of mindripping? You could monitor every last thing in a persons head, or even monitor the contents of a neuron. With a little in the way of probing questions, you could map the responses for a given state.
With just a little enhancement, you could even suppress the actions of certain parts of the brain, such as the part that lets you lie, or activate the part that prevents movement whilst asleep.
Can you imagine how powerful that would be as a weapon?
Paralysed and unable to lie, or instant paralysis at the touch of a button. Useful for convicts and suspects, terrorists and freedom fighters alike.
Can you convince yourself that the USA wouldn't force this on all terrorist suspects?
