We can observe atmospheres of other planets from the Earth. We can even observe atmospheres on planets around other stars now. But what would this prove in relation to your theory?
AFAIK all the planets in our solar system have an atmosphere (of varying constitutions of course), as well as some of the major moons (like Titan).
