there has been some talk on some of the forums, that hypography is not a democratic forum, this is basically a followup of the what is time thread located here:
What is time?
Decided to post it here, because it is more of a philosophical question then anything else. Do you think that hypography is a democracy at all?
my point of view:
Hypography can not possibly wing as a democracy for a major reason, while people are what we rule here, it is not the people who dictate rules, but they have to follow them. I would call this form of government more of a constitutional monarchy, but not like in Prussian or Dutch, but more angled towards what Great Brittain's monarchy looked like in the early and mid 1700ds, yeah i am referring to a constitutional monarcy with a parlament.... Why, ultimately, just like in CM, the king, or the soul creator of this forum, Tormod, is the one who calls the shots, he has the power to do just about everything (if he can figure out how to do it in CPannel

... take it as a joke, T)... The rest of the governing is done by the mod's who themselves represent a section, or multiple sections of the forums, and are fully responsible for everything that heppens in them, and that kind of reminds me of feudalism, and empirialism of the Gread Roman Empire, but then T is not an unsensible monarch who follows what the Pope says, he listens to Mods and admins, (admins are sort of regents of T's, if you've ever read "The three Musketeers", they fulfil the role of Cardinal Richelieu, they share some of T's power, but once again, T has the ultimate right to call the shots). So where is the parliament? aah, that is yet another role fulfilled by the mods and 1/2mods, they are responsible for their people and content and share some direct power over their people, they also advise T about actions, and have meetings (i would call threads as meetings, and in a way they are) anyways, the difference is that there is no houses in our parlament, as all people below are just people and do not break into any more classes, therefore there is no need to break into any more pieces, and hence we have a constitutional monarchy with a parlament (constitutional monarchy implies it in a way, but it is not all that necessary, so i have a need to specify)
anyways tell us what you think.... also this would be a place for wishes and suggestions on how to govern, but no promisses as to their fullfilment
Peace
