I have brushed up our old Science Quizzes, and I need your help to check it out. If you have the time, please head over to Science Quizzes and take a quiz (any quiz, not just the first one) and complete it. Verify that the solution listed at the end is correct. If you find errors, bugs or anything, please post here and let me know. :) (Yes, we have done this before...but I need your help again. And when all is sorted, new quizzes will come!) What's been happening with the reputation bar for the past few days

You may have noticed that since around Thursday 9 July, your reputation bar – the row of little green (or, hopefully not, red) boxes that appear below your name, post count, and locations in the left margin of your posts – and those of everybody else, were maxed at 5 dim and 6 bright boxes. This was due to an accidental change to the forum software. It’s fixed now. We (Hypography’s mods, admins, and dev team staff) also used the fix to update the rep bar generating rules to more accurately display reputation, avoiding the problem of rep bars shooting up past 5 green boxes after a new member gets a single “I approve” from a high-rep member, and many (21, to be precise) high-rep members having maxed out bars. For many of us, this means that our rep bars are one or two boxes lower than they were a week ago. This doesn’t indicate that your rep has decreased, only that the scale has been adjusted. It also means that, if you now have less than 11 green boxes, you can again gain boxes as you receive the accolades of your fellow hypographers. :) Please feel free to post questions or discussion in this thread.

With the US Presidential and other election poling complete, we the moderators of hypography declare that all thread concerning Barack Obama, John McCain, or their running mates, will be closed at midnight Eastern Standard Time tonight. People so inclined are free to start new threads to continuing discussions from these threads, but like the poles, these threads have served their purpose, and will be closed.

The "topic of the week" nomination feature was bugged in that it did not create a new poll when a new week started. I have installed a fix, so that it now correctly creates a new poll when a new week starts. It would be nice if you guys could nominate some (worthy) threads here and there to get this started.

This is just a note to inform you folks that around June 27 (give or take a day or two) we will be performing routine upgrades and maintenance, so the forums may be closed for a few hours. Killean and I will post a notice when we're ready to start rolling. :)
