The forums have been upgraded to the newest version.

If you experience any problems with the bulletin board software, or any of its features, please post a detailed report here (detailed as in the steps that led up to the error, a summary of the error messages seen, and if you can...

Re: Forum Upgrade

Problems with the gallery popup script should potentially be fixed now. If there are any further problems, please let us know.

Thanks.

Hey Killean. While perusing the 'Who's Online' I clicked on a 'Viewing Gallery' entry and found a screen I've never seen. a list of who posted to a thread?
At other times, clicking 'Gallery Index', 'Check it out' brings up a report screen rather than the gallery image.

That's all I got.

Exclamation Re: Forum Upgrade

I've noticed that when I try and open multiple windows Hypography will sign me out. If I try and sign in by the quick sign in (above the forum indexes) no matter what password I put in it says I made a mistake and reduces the number of tries I have left.

I realize that it is possible that the multiple page problem maybe a result of tightening the security; however, it is a bug to me rather than a feature. I like being able to review what I am responding to at the same time. Working with one window at a time is a pain in the Kick@$$Clown.

I've worked around the last part by simply dropping back to the main sign in at the Forum Portal.

Re: Forum Upgrade

KAC - I never experienced those problem. I have multiple windows open all the time, in various browsers, on Mac and PC. Sounds to me as if your browser has a too high security setting!

The login issue is also one I don't recognize. I never have problems logging in.

There has been no tightening of security apart from patching known bugs in vBulletin, and installing some security software on the server which is unrelated to forum use.

Re: Forum Upgrade

I never experience those problems either and I also use a variety of machines. I do use Firefox on all of them though so it could be an IE issue if that is what you use.

Re: Forum Upgrade

I've encountered it across a few systems (Linux Ubuntu with Firefox, and Windows XP with Firefox). I noted it today while I was attempting to responding to a post. I opened another tab with the same URL. Sure enough, like clockwork it booted me.

I'll click on a link and when that page loads, I'll be logged out. Used to catch me by surprise and it only started after we started talking about Hypography improvements. I never get a warning when it happens; I just get dropped.

It might be my account settings or something. I've used school computers, my friend's computer, and my own. It appears fine on this computer though (My mom's Mac OS X).

I'll perform some experiments in the next few days and report my findings in as exact of a manner as I can.

Maybe the catch is that "same URL" business? Try opening your auxiliary tabs to the Hypog portal, then navigate from there to the thread, post, etcetera you want to reference. Works for me that way at any rate.

I will try that right now.

Opened several new tabs and windows with the URL of the page I was on when I wanted to reply.

No booting. It works fine.

Please try to write down the steps you take so we can recreate the same procedure.

Re: Forum Upgrade

Like I said. I'm on my moms (Mac OS X) computer and it's acting fine. I'll check on Tuesday at school on their Windows machines.
