Re: What Americans, USAans, yanks, beleive.
And I'm proud that I once again stood by my total lack of faith in our government and it's alleged electoral process and did not vote...The real reason yet another republican didn't win is that the illusion of officials "elected" by the masses would be revealed for what it is. <NOTE- Believe what you want this is my take after 8 years of Bush.

Yanks believe in change. Heck, we founded the country on it!
Whether we will see the change we want, or not, remains to be seen. We should all look at the first 90 days, from Jan. 20.

I think what you are saying is that we need a restructuring of the electoral college.

Re: What Americans, USAans, yanks, beleive.
I don't have a clue how it works but I believe Bush is plenty proof that it doesn't work as it should. Ie. The guy moving into the Whitehouse is the guy the American people want in office. I really find it hard to believe Americans were that stupid after Regan and the first Bush....it's............I can't even think of a way to express how stupid the people of this nation would have to be to want more of it...So yes what you said Freezy.

Re: What Americans, USAans, yanks, beleive.
I've often wished our elections were overseen by our allies...to ensure everything is on the "up and up''....kinda like the way they do the lottery (here in pa. at least) with the equipment checked and verified accurate by our allies before and after the polls open and close (put the inspection of local machines on local tv, that would be super sweet).
then tell those electoral college bums to pound salt

I'm not sure what all yanks believe but since the election I've received six e-mails claiming that Obama is the anti-Christ and in 42 months all hell is going to break loose

42 months? That's odd.
I can see maybe 6 and 2/3rds months...

Re: What Americans, USAans, yanks, beleive.
this is what is being sent, i think it was meant to be sent before the election. But if indeed Obama is the anti Christ is it not already written and we can do nothing to stop him?

As with so many other statements I've heard him (and his wife) make, I never
thought I'd see the day that I'd hear something like that from a
presidential candidate in this nation. To think our forefathers fought and
died for the right for our nation to be a Christian nation--and to have this
man say with pride that we are no longer that. How far this nation has come
from what our founding fathers intended it to be.

Obviously this Jackass has no clue of what the founding fathers of this nation intended. This is just another religious myth.
It is summed up in one statement in the First Amendment to the United States Constitution:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,.....
The word "Christian" isn't mentioned once.
It couldn't be more clear.
And this Revelations anti-Christ nonsense.....
My prediction - Delusional people like this will stop at nothing to undermine any positive change or bit of progress achieved under this new president and administration, and will magnify and demonize every minor setback or misstep they become aware of.
They will do this not because they believe it is in the best interest of the nation, but because they can't stand the notion of success from anything they consider outside of their own ideology.
They will seek to promote failure, and will even willingly distort reality to do so.
These are not Christ-like behaviors.
So who is really the anti-Christ?
----------------
It seems to me that people tend to prefer to believe what they want to be real or true, despite evidence to the contrary.
When what you believe is refuted by evidence, you are faced with a choice.
