It is ugly (as Buffy has noted). The framing is what does it. The contrast of 3D surfaces is simply beautiful. Whoever chose the color scheme should be rode through town on Horse-leash.

| Tittle | I visited DC back in...well, a long time ago. The stairs in the Washington Monument were open then and you could ride up in the elevator & walk down. It's my favorite DC architecture and arguably has the oldest stylistic influence of DC structures. ![]() View of the Washington Monument at Twilight
