Question Big Bang Video For Kids?

Can someone help me out with something? My eight year old is curious about origins so, I'm looking for a good & simple video(s) that explains the Big Bang Theory on her level. I've generally explained...but with kids...nothing is better than a good illustration!

Anyone know of any online anywhere?

Re: Big Bang Video For Kids?

While not a video, this series by Hawkings looks interesting. His daughter came up with the idea.

Re: Big Bang Video For Kids?

The book by Hawking...That does look interesting, I'll ck that out as well. Thanks!

The videos by Sagan...yeah, that might would work! I'll see how that goes over with her. My sole concern is involving too much technical detail and overwhelming her.

Re: Steady State Video For Kids?

I would show her this video too, as an alternative view:

There is something wonderful about big bang cosmology that makes the story more real than most fantastical writings; the mingling with passing charades of outrageous forces, cold-dark-matter, phantom energy made luminous. But it’s not the sort of place you’d want to slip off á deux for a long weekend while the in-laws are baby-sitting.
