Re: Black hole without a home My own humble opinion is; there are many more black holes floating around out there than we are aware of. If the number and size of these suggested black holes is significantly large, this could explain where all the missing matter is. Just a thought............................

Re: Black hole without a home The matter isn't missing... It's just been made inaccessible .Where does dark matter come from? After the matter that enters a black hole FINALLY hits the center (or close to it) does it enter a worm hole and get relocated somewhere in our Universe as a type of wraith like matter . Gotta love the imagination of kids

this kinda goes with my theory that black holes Explode (i.e big bang. and many other like it before) but this black hole may have already used all of its host galexies matter and needs not much more matter before it will be filled to the compression point of the black hole, and then once again in a quite catastrophic explosion cuased by over heating , atom splitting and such , and will be a reborn universe as ours was some billion years ago. ![]()

Re: Black hole without a home Interesting article, but highly speculative. Given that dark matter supposedly makes up 99% of the universe, and assuming that it can form massive black holes with very little normal matter present, I'm surprised that many of these dark-matter black holes haven't been found yet by gravitational lensing effects.
