Mulitregional Theory vs. Out of Africa

I was wondering if there was an even split between scientists who believe humans evolved in different parts of the world (Asia, Europe, Africa - multiregional theory) and those who think that humans evolved in Africa and than migrated to other parts of the world. Or do most scientists believe in the Africa theory.

RE: Mulitregional Theory vs. Out of Africa

I dont know the ratio, but Iam pretty sure the out of Africa theory is correct. Around four million years ago earthquakes created mountain ranges in Africa, which blocked the cool air coming in off the ocean, this changed rain fall patterns. The once rain forest turned into savana, forcing humans to stand-up to forage and hunt. I dont know of another event, around that time, that could cause such a dramatic change in evolution.
