Speciation by hybridization more common in animals than previously thought?

I just discovered the following newsrelease:
http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releas...-iho072205.php

And it contains some interesting information, and food for thought, at least for biologist.

It might be that speciation by hybridization is much more common in animals than previously thought.
