Is there any information regarding to any biological theory that would suggest how life began or is it a complete mystery to date?

Basically, individual chemicals, gravity, and other forces of attraction led to greater complexity, led to a big soup, led to more complexity, and through billions of years of cycles... poof. Life as we know it.
