Wedding Bells

Posted 11-06-2008 at 05:57 PM by freeztar
On Nov. 8, I'm going to legally marry my bride!

It's going to be...interesting...

You can only make wedding rings out of socks by slowly whittling them down, Mandelbrot-style.

Unfortunately, no one is keen on this.

So, wish me well on Saturday! I'll need it!

I've already assumed the role of befuddled housemate. Might as well seal the deal.

Two Socks

Posted 11-06-2008 at 05:18 PM by freeztar
Now that they are reunited, they seem strange on my feet. Did I say "they"? I meant "them". I'm still missing 4 brave men (socks). If you happen to see an argyle stripe down both sides of a "left" footed sock, contact me asap!

Moving requires cleaning out!
But, that doesn't mean that my *perfectly good pair* of boy scout socks should suffer the wrath of the Goodwill pile!

I might as well bee shouting into a honeycomb!...

One sock

Posted 10-29-2008 at 09:39 PM by freeztar
How many one socks have you got?

I have several one socks. I keep them around in case the other shows up some day (they never do). Where do they go? None of my other clothing disappears, but yet, I seem to lose socks all the time, well, just one.

I thought I had it figured out. It must be the dryer! Yes, it was obvious. The dryer was secretly stealing one sock at a time, thinking I wouldn't notice.

After I had pulled the dryer from...

What's in a stream?

Posted 10-14-2008 at 07:19 PM by freeztar
While investigating many streams in urban areas around Atlanta, I've noticed a certain pattern. Certain items end up in streams more than others.

Considering topography, one can easily see that things will generally "slide downhill", just like the rain. It may seem blatantly obvious then that streams are always at the lowest gradient, topographically speaking. Yet, it seems to be one of those facts that most take for granted.

Keeping in mind this last point,...
