October (already)

I can not believe that it is October already. That's Q4 for you business types out there.
Autumn (my favourite season) is upon us in a big way here in the UK. We have just had a rainy Sunday here in the south whilst the north of England and Scotland basked in a brilliant (if a little cold) sunny day. I know this because it is the day of the "Great North Run" and the coverage showed clear blue skies throughout the half marathon.

So, I'm a Bright. What's one of those then?

I became a Bright after reading the God Delusion by Richard Dawkins. I had been an atheist for a very long time and Dawkins was a hero of mine ever since he presented the Royal Institution Christmas Lectures here in London. I forget what year it was but it was very interesting. Much better than the anodyne stuff we have been getting in recent years. What I remember most from his lectures was the enormity of geological time in comparison to human history of the last few thousand years.

Hypography [n.]: A combination of "hyperlink" and "bibliography" - ie, a list of links to electronic documents. Comparable to discography and bibliography, but not cartography.
