A Note on Kindle 2...

Posted 02-27-2009 at 09:44 AM by Mercedes Benzene (A Peregrination of Life in Notes)
So I'm a little late posting this, but I've had my brand new Kindle 2 since Wednesday!

I don't really know what to say... other than it exceeds my expectations. It's really a fantastic gadget, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who's an avid reader.

Pictures to follow.
Cheers.

Tipping Point

Posted 02-21-2009 at 11:17 AM by Pyrotex
If you're a student of History (with a capital H), then you know about "tipping points".

There's an old saying: "The Wheel of History moves very slowly, but it grinds very fine." The allusion is to the stone grinding wheel that was central to ancient flour mills. So, think of a grinding wheel, but think of it as not stuck on a fixed axle, but freely rolling down an inclined plane. The Plane of Human Events.

The Plane of Human Events appears stationery,...
