On Nov. 8, I'm going to legally marry my bride!

It's going to be...interesting...



You can only make wedding rings out of socks by slowly whittling them down, Mandelbrot-style.

Unfortunately, no one is keen on this.

So, wish me well on Saturday! I'll need it!

I've already assumed the role of befuddled housemate. Might as well seal the deal.

Now that they are reunited, they seem strange on my feet. Did I say "they"? I meant "them". I'm still missing 4 brave men (socks). If you happen to see an argyle stripe down both sides of a "left" footed sock, contact me asap!

Moving requires cleaning out!
But, that doesn't mean that my *perfectly good pair* of boy scout socks should suffer the wrath of the Goodwill pile!

I might as well bee shouting into a honeycomb!...

The weather here in the lower Columbia valley is cold, rainy, and killin' my back and fingers. Snow is falling in the Cascades nearby, down to the 3,000 foot level already. A fella up near Carson in the Gifford Pinchot was shot dead while out gathering bear grass this week; they don't know yet if it was an accident (elk hunting season just started) or murder. There's more cold than temperature up in those mountains.

This is it. The crux of what the whole fuss is about. For all the faults we Americans are credited with, the world still holds its breath while we practice what we preach and continue our grand experiment. Here's mud in your eye.
