I was surfing the internet, and i found some news on a website:
scientist have found a star that had possibily crystallized into a diamond...
The news was a while ago. Anyway, take a look at this short article.

I have mistaken, apologized, and taken the consequences. My only regret, was for how I was bothered by the unchangable.

Re: Diamond Star

I thought a white dwarf was composed of mainly iron, while a diamond was carbon.

Yes pgrmdave; I was wondering the same thing, sounds a little fantastic to me. If we understand the evolution of stars the carbon would have transmutated long before the white dwarf could have formed. Maybe our information is incorrect about this process?
