| Explaining | Base Catalysed Mechanism? Hi There's a small reaction mechanism for the Base Catalysed Hydrolysis of Acetylsalicylic acid? Basically the reaction is: Acetylsalicylic acid ----> Under water and NaOh conditions forms Salicylic acid and CH3CO2H. Anyone know the mechanism, I think I've gotten half way but it's so basic and I can't even finish it, anyone know? ---------------- I don't need to convince you to become an Atheist, because even if you call yourself Religious, you still believe in Nothing! | |
