Buying Chemicals

I want to buy relatively cheap chemicals that could be useful in amateurish experimentation. I could also buy compounds that I could extract the chemical from. Anywhere but ebay can be mentioned. Canada if possible.

pgrmdave - just for weekend experimentation, I'm only in Grade Eight, I don't think I want to do anything too big yet.

If you only need small quantities of an assortment of chemicals you might consider buying a chemistry set at a toy store or learning/homeschool store.

I've always wanted a Chemistry Set!

My Mom thought I would "make" something bad. Like a real Mess or Fire!

First I'll start with electrolosysis - isolate some stuff...

Order some elements from places... Read some books (Not Anarchist Cookbook or anything )

Check the Batteries in the smoke detectors,
Make sure the Home Owners Insurance is current

I already have a chemistry set. A pretty good one too. What I am trying to do is expand the collection of chemicals to make more interesting experiments.

Well I recently moved my lab into the backyard. There I'll have more space for more chemicals and better ventilation for better and more interesting experiments. Now where can I get some chemicals?
