I found InstantChess.com to be a very good site. However, the non-members should have some identification during the game (next to his name). I never saw a great chess site like this one in the entire web, i love to play chess.

Thanks for the info, I'll have to check this out since I love to play chess as well. Haven't played it for awhile though. Probably going to get my heiny toasted !!!!

I would be very careful before using instantchess. The management are Russian men, and the service is very poor. Also, there have been severe privacy policy breakdowns, price and service agreements change without notice, the server goes down for weeks (it was just down last week for 3-4 days) and the owner used to get drunk and swear at his paid members publicly in the forum and call them jerks and 'gabberheads'. I still don't know what that means yet, but I have never seen a business run so poorly in regards to customer service in my life. I have had nothing but major headaches there.

That said, they built a great site, and the applet is beautiful. There is one problem with an applet driven site though: it is miserable trying to determine cheating as the programs are stuck in the sandbox and can't identify if an engine is turned on. The administrators there have to check each game by hand, and they won't check any of the games that are played by guests. I know this as I was an admin there. Long story short; I recommend playing for free if you are going to play on instantchess.

Hi Obando,

I am glad that you are satisfied with the server. It has a gorgeous interface. This server had so much potential in the last 5 years, but the management made very poor decisions and it did not take off.

I doubt that I will be playing there, but if I ever do, I will look you up.
My user name there is gregory, but I have not logged in for months.
