Chess?

Do I just post saying that I want a game, or is this board still in it's "laying down the rules stage". ecause I'll play anyone that is up-for-it. Although I haven't played in a while and I'm a little rusty.

Will this board do? It assumes white is on top.

Re: Chess?

One more suggestion. The notation you are using is neither the classical nor the algebraic form, and to be frank, it's confusing to someone who uses either of the standard ones. For example, K stands for King in both systems, but you are using it for for both King and Knight.

The following would be an improvement.

1) Along the left border, running from White towards Black, number the rows (ranks) 1 through 8.

2) Along the bottom border, running from left to right, label the files (columns) a through h.

With that standard setup, each square is clearly and uniquely identified by specifying a letter following by a number, such as e4.

Then you can use whatever you want to. If you want to spend the time to learn the peculiarities of algebraic notation you could, or you could simply continue to list the "from" square and the "to" square.

Re: Chess?

Odd, I thought "Queens Knight Eight to Queens Bishop Six" was fairly straightforeward and atlest close to standard. Still, them's the reasons I supplied the board.

Re: Chess?

Sorry for the late reply

If we're playing with the board upside down e4 (which would be e5 on a normal board)
