That's just about it, it isolates our moves. If you want we could quote the moves. or bold them, or just put them in a separate paragraph. I really don't care it's just that the first game was started using code tags and humans by nature are conformists so we have all accepted that as the way to do things.

The code tags do squish up your little avatar region though and that was always a peculiarity that annoyed me slightly at first because it didn't conform with the rest of the posts, but people adapt and I got used to it.

When you capture something with a pawn, instead of putting the name of the piece on the left, you put the file (not the square) it came from, then the x and the square on which it captured. For example: dxe5 or hxg6. Pawn captures are the most commonly misused part of keeping score, so practice this correctly.
