i suppose people could use their private mail to play individual games.
there is no, "chess interface" at this site (as far as I know, nor plans to make one, try
http://www.chessclub.com
for one such site,
or,
http://chessclub.ws
for some discussion on chess and other non-sense; remember chess is only a game and someone once said, "Life is what you do when you are planning to do something else!")
although positions of games are discussed and game theoretics is discussed for standard chess and other games at times.
hope this helps you!

Read thru the other threads here to see how others have been playing. It's mostly like a mail exchange where players post their move to the board. Some of the threads discuss the notation being used by the various players. If you still have questions ask after you've read through the other games.

We mainly play using algebraic notation and by wrapping "code" tags around the moves. The "Algebraic notation" thread I've posted will tell you how to use it and to use the code tags click on the "#" symbol after highlighting the text you want to look like this...
Code:
Dark Mind - IMAMONKEY
e2-e4 e7-e5
And that will isolate your moves on the game from just your regular text.
