aquiring the center is one of the basic chess principles, d4 or e4 followed as. don't forget black can use his Queen side fianchetto. that's one of the reason white should move g3 to guard His Majesty. and finally, Nc3 is obvious to back up his c pawn to acquire the center.

1.c4, e6
2.a3?

Uhm, an non-player with comments on the game shouldn't post them while the game is in progress. Save them for after-the-game analysis/discussion.

This is a post analysis, not a pre-analysis.

False, it IS pre-analysis.

Your comments about what can happen in an in-progress game are unwelcome.

If you want to discuss chess while a game is in progress, start your own game and feel free to reveal all you want about your strategy during that game. But don't do that during MY game.

This game is between two people, and you are not one of those two people. Again, your comments about what can happen in an in-progress game are unwelcome.

PS: You are wrong.

The possible position after 1. c4 e6 2. d4 Nf6 3. Nc3 Bb4 is NOT the Nimzovitsch, but rather the Nimzo-indian. The Nimzovitsch is 1. e4 Nc6.
