First you hav to play with yerself. Make the moves as difficult as you can and then see for yourself, you would hav improved a bit atleast.
The other way is by playing against computer. You play against the computer and throught the computer with other players. This way you can improve your game.
The last way is to take coachin from a person who has been a professional in chess or a person who plays chess well.

Aren't those pretty much the only ways of practicing? If you want to get better, then play against higher-rated or more experienced opponents. It will force you to think harder and you will learn more that way. When you play a game, think about the moves for a while, and don't just play whatever first comes to mind. In many of my tournaments, I see people playing very quickly and doing poorly, and it was around when I started using the full two hours for all of my moves that I began to improve more rapidly. Also, study through books. Endgames are usually a weak spot, so learn some basic endgames and you will play better. I've looked at a few of the games here, and it seems that few know about opening principles. Also, go over GM games, and read the notes that analyzers have provided. And playing against computers will help, but computers don't play like humans do, unless he's a very good player. So.. Yeah.. Hope that helped, I think :-O
