I'm trying to improve my chess skills, but I never have anyone to play with... anyone know where I can download a chess program for windows?

There are lots of chess programmes(Fritz, chess master, etc.,) just grab one of them. I'll recommend free internet chess site (www.freechess.org). really cool there

yahoo.com has a cool chess setup too. that's usually where i play when i'm not playing my chessboard i made out of cards.

i agree. Yahoo chess board is really nice but players' ratings are really unfair using the standard calculation.

i think that a big part of chess is human action and reaction.
that's why i'm not a real big fan of digital chess, it's fun to play in person.
messing with people seems to be my specialty, salad.

Opponent's psychic power was a blow to me in last tournment. He hold the book in right hand. And his left hand never stopped tapping my black pawn! (We traded pawns.) Luckily i could maintain the position and tied. I was really angry

My son plays online at pogo.com He seems to enjoy that site more than Yahoo.
