3rd chapter of majestic chess..I'm stuck

I'm having a very difficult time in beating 2 of the challenges in the 3rd chapter. One is where you have to beat the black king and his 2 pawns with your king and rook. Can't seem to find a solution. The other is where you start out in a pinning problem. The other queen will kill your queen if you don't move it. I spent so much time on this problem, I even got checkmated by a pawn at one point, but usually it's the queen and rook, I can't seem to win this one at all. Can anybody help me with this? ~Michael

The black king and his 2 pawns start in their normal spots. Your king starts on his normal spot the rook is on his left side.
The layout for the other problem is too extensive to put into words
