I'd assume that you've played this move too fast. It's normal courtesy to allow you to take your turn back. Perhaps I am unaware of a 'higher plan', but do you accept?

No, I had looked at my options. I noticed that, but I'd expected you to play Bxf7+. Since I plan my moves in advance, I tend to be able to play rather quickly. Especially since there were only a few moves for you to make (that made any sense, at least).
