Thumbs up How often do you exercise?

I mean a real cardio, 30-plus minute workout. Although of course I'll include answers for the rest of you including...

* The Tony Stewart Workout: During a series of interviews of NASCAR drivers asking them what their workout routines were, cut up Tony Stewart said, "Workout? Oh yeah [raises arm and points it at the TV, moving his thumb]...up, up, down, down!"

Oh and yah, tell us what you *do* if you're so inclined....

It is a good morning exercise for a research scientist to discard a pet hypothesis every day before breakfast. It keeps him young,

Re: How often do you exercise?

Tony Stewart here, though I think typing requires more calories than channel surfing.

I aim to be working out at least twice a week by the end of the year. Right now it's about once bimonthly, but the strain of age is starting to catch up to me and I'm a bit overweight for my height so it's time to change that.

i voted monthly but really it's less than that. the only time i get 30 min. + cardio style exercise is when i go out in the field on an environmental study outing. i do get regular light exercise doing gardening & domestic chores at home. get turtle's "Garbage Workout Routine" when it hits the shelves and then run home & throw it out.

devote at least an hour at least twice a week to doing laps in a pool (its a short course pool, 25m), since i restarted recently, after my shoulder injury, i've only been doing around 25 laps, but i am working hard to improve...

3-5 hours per week. Sometimes a little more. I do ballroom dance as a hobby. Very good cardio workout. Try dancing samba or quickstep for an hour.

Re: How often do you exercise?

I bike at least 3 times a week in summer, usually for 3-4 hours at a time taking the occasional stop to buy a drink to rehydrate. Great way to see areas of the city you knew nothing about, and a fun passtime if you have friends who bike with you. Also a good way to meet members of the opposite sex; for somereason being sweaty is attractive? must be the pheromones.

The free weights come out whenever I'm bored, which translates to once or twice a week. And since I'm renovating my house, I'll put the 4-6 hours a day I spend demolishing, and rebuilding up as a workout too; anyone who disagrees can come work next to me and try to keep up.
