Re: Who wins Most Medals at Olympics?

I think that the US is poised to win the most medals, and most likely the most gold medals. However, the only sport that I really watch is hockey, and I don't think that the US will win men's or women's. Canada looks to be an very strong contender for them.

Lefse Recipe
Norwegian Bread

Ingredients:
1 1/2 c Boiling water
2 tb Butter
1/2 ts Salt
1 c Rye flour
1 c All-purpose flour
1 c Whole wheat flour

Directions:
Preheat oven to 450f. In a large bowl, combine water, butter, salt, rye flour and all-purpose flour and beat well. Stir in whole wheat flour and beat until you have a smooth dough that resembles dough for a baking powder biscuit. Divide dough into 4 parts. Cut each portion into quarters.

Flour a board and roll each piece of dough to make a thin 10- to 12-inch circle. If desired, use lefse rolling pin to make a pattern on the dough. Place 2 or 3 dough circles on ungreased baking sheet. Bakein preheated oven 3 to 5 minutes--NOT until completely browned. Cool on a rack. Wrap airtight.

Only at a science forum, in a topic about the winter Olympics, will you find a recipe for Norwegian bread...

We just got three more medals... silver in the men's cross country sprint and silver and bronze in the 10K biathlon.

Seems the gold medals aren't pouring in like last time...but we still rule on the medal count.

Congrats to SWEDEN for snatching the two golds in the cross country sprint! Both men's and women's. 12 years since their last gold in a Winter Olympics (ice hockey at Lillehammer, Norway, IIRC)!
