Commuters who board a train 20 miles outside their destination were were found to have
twice the stress levels than those traveling 40+ miles!
Apparently the more control the commuter has over his surroundings (such as being able to get a seat), the
less stressful the journey.
This study suggests that commuters may be better off trading a short, stressful ride for a longer but calmer one!
