I'll start sending you mine shortly. Since I really just started looking for photos today, I'll be behind everyone else for a while.

We have 73 photos entered so far. At the end of the month I will cut off for our first photo contest among the entrants. I am going to start a thread for each contest where we will take nominations. Then I will add a poll for the voting among the top nominees. We will have up to ten photos in each contest. Get your pictures in by the end of the month to be included in the June voting.

just to clarify, these photos have to be new ones taken just for the contest? yes, no?

Yes, but it is more of a guideline that a hard rule. If everyone goes out and takes new pictures that is great, but as long as you are using your own pictures, not hunting the internet, then they are fine. Do you have some pictures of a young turtle playing in a sprinkler?

not sure, but i will check now. i do have a photo of racoon & i however. my camera is out of commission so nothing new for me for awhile, but now i can go over my archive & see what's worthy.

The June pictures are all in, and we are going to have voting in three categories...

Best Overall Picture - this is for pure composition, appeal, and technical excellence of an individual photo.

Best Example of what is being pictured - each photo is trying to show an item from the hunt; which one best displays the item it is trying to show?

Most Interesting Picture - this is a bit of a free-for-all; which picture is just the most interesting to look at, or was the most difficult to take, or was the most creative in its composition - pick your own criteria.

Everyone, please feel free to nominate up to 5 pictures for each category. Post your nominations in this thread. On July 15th I will start 3 polls based upon the nominations. The voting will continue until the end of the month. All members are eligible to vote. We will be doing this again for photos received in July.
