 Ancora Imparo      Sponsor | Hypo 5k race I think it would be great if we could get an intercontinental 5k running race happening amongst the members here. If I can get some support of who would like to take part then more detailed plans can be made, but for the moment the way I see it happening is: -we get a pool of contestants -each contestant uses gmap-pedometer to map out an approx 5k course -these course are submitted for everyone to see, making sure gradients are consistent -we set a week or so for this course to be completed and the contestants can record their times online depending on the number of entries we could have age categories or even a bike category for those that dont like running! | Doing the Impossible | Re: Hypo 5k race Here is my route. I will be walking at a brisk pace with the dog. There will be no running. I have no illusions of having the best time, but I am going to participate. I have been taking the dog for daily walks slightly shorter than that. This will be a nice stretch. There is even a beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright original that I pass just before the turnaround. It is at the end of Redbird. Kids in the neighborhood also report that Sharon Stone has recently purchased one of the houses along the lake that I will be passing; who knows?
