And remember that great question that Pierre-Simon Laplace and Sir Isaac Newton, Andrei Markov and David Hilbert, Richard Feynman and Enrico Fermi, Albert Einstein and Edmund Halley did not come to ask throughout all of their dedication and work: "Who the hell is IMing me?"

RE: Avatar discussion

Yeah, I agree. I think it's awesome. Maybe Freethinker will start using that one when the new forum's open up! It's fitting for him, don't you think?

Hm, maybe we shoud have been clear about that in the rules: I don't think we should use any of the avatars in the contest before November 15, but if others disagree with me let's discuss it! It can hardly hurt if someone wants to use them, though?

RE: Avatar discussion

I think we should wait on using the avatars until after the contest is over. That way, judging is not swayed in any way. Of course, Alexander, if you wanted to use your own avatar now and not enter it in the contest, that would be fine. But it might also cost you a coffee mug...

RE: Avatar discussion

Yes. I think it is fair. Submissions are off-limit for usage until the competition is over.

Alexander, with your skills I reckon you can make another one JUST for yourself, eh?

The penguin avatar is cool...I know it's the Linux symbol but a polar bear and a penguin...do you have a thing for cold places?
