You are very mistaken, a quad core 2.2 will fly, what you have to understand is that it is equivalent to having 4, yes four 2.2GHz processors because its 4 separate 2.2GHz cores, and it's actually faster then a normal 4 processor machine because the bus between processors is 6 GBit vs front side used to connect multi proc machines (800mhz max, if you lucky). It will fly, drive your car, walk your dog and make you coffee in the morning all at the same time, and will be able to run crysis or any game out there to date at the highest setting!

Also most game specs are given for intel machines, AMD processors do more instructions per cycle so the lower frequency of operation will still outperform a higher frequency Intel. ex a single core 2.2 will perform along the lines of a 2.8-3.0 intel processor.

Hypography?

Hypography [n.]: A combination of "hyperlink" and "bibliography" - ie, a list of links to electronic documents. Comparable to discography and bibliography, but not cartography.
