___C1ay's link is a good explanation of what this speaker does different than conventional speakers, but it says nothing about how. Not surprising in view of business concerns I guess.
___I will speculate some. If you have ever torn apart a Bose radio you get this little epiphany that says "Of course; how simple!". A little speaker is centered between 2 folded wave guides (tubes) with one having twice the length of the other so that the back motion of the speaker is brought into phase with the forward motion. Shape is everything. I didn't check the price on the new speaker design, but I don't doubt tearing one apart might generate a little epiphany of its own.
___I wonder how well it really works & if musicians embrace it.

Addendum: Just checked the price; 2 grand! I won't be tearing one of those apart any time soon.
