This sounds like an oxymoron, but Mozilla has released a "preview version" of Firefox 1.0. I don't know how it differs from a beta version but if you haven't tried it yet I highly recommend it:

I have used the "preview 1.0 version" for a while and it is rock solid, at least on my Mac. On PC I still tend to use IE but that is simply due to not bothering to change my default browser...lousy excuse.
