Local news just did a piece on Redoubt and showed images of volcano lightning. I have a still below. Reports also said that for the first time rotation has been observed in an ash cloud, but I can't find anything at the official site on that yet. They went on to say that the rotation may explain volcano lightning as a similar mechanism to that in thunderclouds.

I do not know what I seem to the world, but to myself I appear to have been like a boy playing upon the seashore and diverting myself by now and then finding a smoother pebble or prettier shell than ordinary, while the great ocean of truth lay before me all undiscovered. - Sir Isaac Newton
The Redoubt eruption continues. Seismicity remains elevated. A regional earthquake, preliminary magnitude 3.4, occurred about 70 miles northeast of Redoubt at 11:22 AKDT.
Additional explosive events are possible with little or no warning. The volcano remains at ORANGE/WATCH and AVO is staffed 24/7
