Rocks: Fine-grained/Coarse-grained texture?

1) If a rock has a fine-grained texture, what does it mean? Does it mean that it has small crystals? And coarse-grained texture means large crystals? The word "texture" used here...is it related how the surface of the rock looks like, how you feel when you touch the rock?

2) Is the term "phaneritic texture" the same as "coarse-grained texture", i.e. big crystals??
If so, then why in the following rock description, the rock syenite (#3) is under the category "phaneritic texture", but in its description, it is described as "fine-grained"? Then why would it be under the "phaneritic texture" category?

Can anyone help? Thank you!
