Today as the Earth continues reeling from an almost total years effects of Massive Storms, Massive Earthquakes, Catastrophic Tsunamis, Unprecedented Volcanic Eruptions, Threats of Total Global War, Global Weather System Chaos and the soon to be upon us all Avian Flu Pandemic of Historical proportions, the world today has suffered yet another blow by news from the Amazon Regions of Brazil that a State of Emergency has been declared due to lack of rain, and as we can read as reported by the CNN News Service in their article titled "Brazil declares disaster areas in Amazon, Worst drought it decades drying key rivers" and which says:

There is one thing I do not understand, about the comment that the Amazon is the lungs of the earth. Plants have always produced more oxygen then the animals use up allowing net oxygen to accumulat in the atmoshere. Why is the oxygen level of the atmosphere sort of stuck at 20% percent or so and not always on the rise. Humans has been burning things for maybe 10,000 years but only on a large scale for maybe 100 years, yet plants have been around for billions and the oxygen does not keep rising. If one looks at Venus it is able to hold way more pressure in its atmosphere even though it is smaller and much hotter.

That, or post it in the ”News in Brief” forum, which is intended just to point draw attention to new articles.

To qualify as a news article, though, the linked-to site mustn’t be primarily a solicitation to buy something, as SeC’s threadstarting link is. Linking to such sites is “spamming”, according to my understanding of Hypography rules, and can get one warned and ultimately banned.
