Re: My belief in Global Warming is getting shaky
typical of evolutionists to not know what they're saying.
is the earth evolveing?
how can something evolve and not change?
reminds me of something terrorist elect obama said while campaining,
we live in the greatest nation in the world, join me now as we change it.

Re: My belief in Global Warming is getting shaky
if some gas, is insulating the planet then there would be fewer storms.
storms are the result of energy being released, heat energy.
insulation stops or slows the transfur of heat energy.

Re: My belief in Global Warming is getting shaky
Not taking your bait anymore, goku.
Your ignorant goading has become boring.
----------------
It seems to me that people tend to prefer to believe what they want to be real or true, despite evidence to the contrary.
When what you believe is refuted by evidence, you are faced with a choice.

Is this "10th warmest year" with or without the faked data from fall 2008 that the AGW people tried to slide by us?
And also in the ABC article I saw they said 2008 was the coolest year since 2001. This supports what I have seen, with global temperatures having peaked around 2000 and now we are on a pretty good down slope.
Shouldn't things be, like, getting hotter, if AGW is real? We keep belching out more and more CO2 each year - there is certainly more atmospheric CO2 now than in 2001. Why is it getting cooler instead of warmer?
By the way here's the link to the article I found concerning this ABC news thingie:

No not necessarily. You are not seeing the woods for the trees
It is CLIMATE CHANGE that is the worry.
More extremes everywhere. That is born out by the above report.
That change can be different in the N and S hemispheres; so watch where your info comes from.
For balance; one for the denialists

Re: My belief in Global Warming is getting shaky
An ABC radio debate on Global Warming.
i missed alot of it but it what I heard was interesting
Climate alert: top priority or obscurantist twaddle? - The National Interest - 2 January 2009
i will listen to it again later
Quote:
Climate alert: top priority or obscurantist twaddle?
Rising waters, permanent drought, melting ice-caps: are these phenomena fixable, irreversible or merely non-issues? Climate sceptics say they are the victims of persecution by the grand inquisitors of eco-doom, while climate campaigners argue global warming is here now and the time for faffing around is over. That's the premise of this Deakin lecture, recorded at Melbourne's Fed Square earlier this year: that climate change is the only issue, the only framework, the one metanarrative that counts. Or should reducing poverty and improving living conditions remain the world's top priority? This discussion first went to air in June, 2008.

Re: My belief in Global Warming is getting shaky
Another pro and agin interview.
The Guy is most sane
He objects to the word "denialist" as he says it is not only unscientific but also evokes memories of holocaust denialists.
An interesting talk on the dynamics the whole debate is taking and the perils of complex modelling.
Food for thought.

There is no evidence I can find that people are causing the weather to have more "More extremes everywhere". Hurricanes, droughts, and extreme weather are natural occurrences, and there have not in fact been higher incidences of these phenomena.
Here is a link to just one article that discusses the fact that we have not seen any increase in extreme weather in recent times.
The Volokh Conspiracy - Hurricanes and Climate Reconsidered:
So, if the earth is not getting warmer, and there is not in fact any extreme weather associated with our activities, what the heck are you people fussing about?
