Weil ich tätig war mit etwas auf Deutsch zu überzetzen fiel es mir wieder auf dass manche Deutsche Worte eine gans andere Meinung haben als das Englische Homonym.
As I was busy translating something in German, it struck me again that many German words have a meaning that is very different from the English homonym
Das Deutsche Verb "
bekommen" z.B.
(zum Beispiel) werd auf English übersetzt as "
to obtain"; anderseits wir das Englische "
to become" auf Deutsch ûbersetzt als "
werden"
e.g. the German verb "bekommen" is translated in English as "to obtain", while the English verb "to become" is translated in German as "werden"
Das Englische "
eventual" ist "
schliesslich" auf Deutsch, weil das Deutsche "
eventuell" auf Englisch übersetzt werd als "
possible"
The English "eventual" means "schliesslich" in German, while the German "eventuell" means "possible" in English.
Es muss noch viele Beispiele bleiben, vieleicht ist es ein lustiges Spiel um andere zu finden.
