Noobs welcome, good for I know nothing about hacking but I have always wanted to learn, maybe you can teach this old dog some new tricks.

Using the "old" definition of "Hacking" here, which is about making code work, rather than breaking security systems (AKA "cracking"), although that's certainly a subtopic of interest among Hackers. lets start introductions of things you have hacked (hardware)

mmk, since everyone seems to be wussing out on me here, i will start:

overclocked a ti 89
rebuilt an easy button with a voice recorder
built a robot that upon touching something with a microphone will rutn back and go in another direction
built a remote controlled boe-bot... literaly controlled with a TV remote
built a laser mouse into a turn-table needle piece for scratching with Terminator X
built in an external antenna jack into a couple of wifi and bluetooth cards
built a coule of 2.4GHz antenni
hacked a cvs one time use digital camcoder
my wireless router has a soldered usb port and is running a linux-based FW

projects in works:
building a dvd burner laser with a focusing unit into a UCON flashlight
Eee-pc mod
building a paintball gun (new conceptually)
building a few flash diffusers
finishing the stylish theme

Greetings to all - For those of you who already know me Hello and bien venu - For those that don't allow me the priviledge of a formal introduction. I traverse the web by two names, one which you see before you(MorallyCorrupted without the "." or a space) and the other being Int3rc3pt. I've posted lots of content out there for the masses on various subjects but as of late I've decided to no longer noob-ify my work for the blind masses that use my techniques and teachings for defacements and exploitations(Really wordy way of saying I hate script-kiddies)

I picked up programming when I was 10 thanks to an observant teacher that brought in a demo of an original TRS-80 (circa 1976). There was a space of about 3 months where we had no computer yet and I coded on paper from the $5 TRS-80 Basic book I bought with my allowance.

I went on to learn Assembly on my 6809E in my TRS-80 Color Computer and ended up writing a disassembler so that I could walk the ROM. Ended up writing some self modifying code on the boot sector for the Apple ][ that emitted an ear piercing 18 khz pitch if you got the password wrong. One afternoon we were in Physics and a Junior was over on the computer. When the piercing alarm went off everyone looked in his direction. I held out my hand and said flatly "Give me my disk back" - silly gamers.

I've been lucky to work in AI for a long while now - but as the economy has shifted I've had to hole up in my database expertise for a while. Looking forward to finding some entertaining code to come back around.

Clearly though most of the fun stuff is in C++, C#, and Java - all of which I hate - but recognize I'm about to have to bite the bullet and start wearing out my ; key - well for something OTHER than winking

This works for me Buffy! I got my first PC some nine years ago with no previous knowledge of how to work one, almost everything I know about PC's is self taught,
but I would like to read and write code.

So many geeks and not a single photograph (except nerdy avatars).

'sup. i don't classify myself as an expert or even geek in nature, (sub-geek maybe) but I do love computers and math related things. I would love to learn more about 3D art/animation, computer software/hardware, HTML, fractal art/mazes, and stuff like that. I'm always open to new ideas. thanx for having me in your group.
