Question Upside down Globes

If history had been different, and all the great explores and cartographers originated from Australia, would not all the globes and world maps be upside down today ?

Re: Upside down Globes

Are you saying the flags (all of them) would be upside down too?

Re: Upside down Globes

Why Australia? What about much of Africa and South America?

Anyway, just recently I was reading that only a few centuries ago, in Europe, it was common for maps to have south toward the top.

You forgot the toponyms. Why not them too?
C'mon Jway, you know that isn't the point at all...

Talking Re: Upside down Globes

Thunderbird,

I am not sure whether Australia would have other than a South-Top orientation preference
over North-Top. Though as Qfwfq said this was done about that time. I am Damn sure
that all Australian cartographers would have Australia as The Larges Continent on said
globe.
