The Future...

Using the twentieth century with all its conflicts as a template, do you see a repeat of World Wars I & II? And how would you see the imagined World War III shaping, and panning out? Does modern history point in that direction? For instance, if you were asked this question in 1913, you could refer to the history from the 1860's leading up to 1913 and imagine that yes, indeed, the world is balanced in such a way that one heck of a war could break out.

So, using that as an analogy, you're now standing at 2006. Do the World Happenings from 1945 onwards point in the direction of another global conflagration?
